Lübeck-Travemünder Golf-KlubBaltic Sea Course

19 Par 4 – HCP 13/14

Spieltipps vom Pro

The view from the tee is somewhat restricted by trees on the left, water on the right, and a slight left dogleg, making an accurate drive essential. The fairway opens up for the approach, but reaching the green requires a longer and confident shot—better to take one club more.

20 Par 3 – HCP 17/18

Spieltipps vom Pro

A par 3 framed by bunkers, bushes, and water on almost all sides. Club selection is tricky, as precision is key on this well-designed and challenging green.

21 Par 5 – HCP 1/2

Spieltipps vom Pro

Another hole favoring long hitters—but caution is advised, as tall rough lurks left of the fairway bunkers. Experienced players will aim right of the bunkers, setting up a transport shot across the wide fairway in front of the pond. The remaining 100 meters to the green, with its broad entryway, should be manageable. Enjoy the stunning view of the Baltic Sea from the green.

22 Par 4 – HCP 9/10

Spieltipps vom Pro

This hole requires course experience for optimal play. The tee shot should be aimed slightly left, allowing the ball to roll right from the crest. Only then will there be a clear approach to the elevated green, free from tree interference.

23 Par 3 – HCP 11/12

Spieltipps vom Pro

A challenging par 3 due to two large oak trees in the middle of the fairway. The shot to the green demands both length and height to carry the obstacles successfully.

24 Par 4 – HCP 3/4

Spieltipps vom Pro

This dogleg is one of the tightest holes on the course and requires strategic play. The tee shot—often without a driver—must be precisely placed past the trees on the left to allow for enough roll-out. Tall trees on both sides visually narrow the approach.

25 Par 4 – HCP 5/6

Spieltipps vom Pro

A sharp 90-degree dogleg. A long tee shot toward the left side of the widening fairway is ideal. Even then, the cluster of trees at the dogleg's bend must typically be cleared to reach the green, which is well-guarded by bunkers.

26 Par 5 – HCP 15/16

Spieltipps vom Pro

A relatively easy par 5, but don’t underestimate the importance of a well-thought-out tee shot. Safe players lay up before the pond, setting up a smooth approach with their third shot. Long hitters can carry the water with their drive, creating an eagle opportunity. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Baltic Sea from the green.

27 Par 4 – HCP 7/8

Spieltipps vom Pro

The final hole, another 90-degree dogleg, demands full concentration. The tee shot—often not with a driver—must have the right length to allow for a straight yet relatively long approach to the green, avoiding the dense brush lurking on both sides.

Note on Stroke Index Allocation

The distribution of the individual handicap depends on the course combination. The odd HCP applies to the first 9 holes, the even HCP to the second 9 holes.

If there is an individual handicap of -15, then -8 is distributed over the first 9 holes according to the HCP figures, while the remaining -7 is then used for the second 9 holes in the same way.
