Lübeck-Travemünder Golf-KlubHolstein Course

1 PAR 4 - HCP 9/10

Spieltipps vom Pro

The tee shot should be placed on the left half of the fairway. From there, you have the best view of the green and its two bunkers, making the approach easier.

2 PAR 5 - HCP 3/4

Spieltipps vom Pro

A long drive on the left side of the fairway simplifies the second transport shot past the right-side pond. This brings the green into sight for a well-placed approach. Skilled players may choose to go for the green with their second shot.

3 PAR 3 - HCP 17/18

Spieltipps vom Pro

With frequent crosswinds, club selection can be tricky. The shot to the green requires accuracy but can also be played in a way that allows the ball to roll uphill onto the green.

4 PAR 4 - HCP 1/2

Spieltipps vom Pro

The ideal landing zone for the tee shot is just slightly right of the fairway bunker at the bend. The second shot requires precision to navigate the narrow entrance to the green. Long hitters can take a shortcut with a powerful drive over the hedge, setting up a wedge shot to the green.

5 PAR 4 - HCP 7/8

Spieltipps vom Pro

A well-placed drive should land level with the left fairway bunker to allow for a clear approach to the green. The shot to the green is longer than it appears.

6 PAR 5 - HCP 11/12

Spieltipps vom Pro

A solid par 5. Distance is crucial off the tee to position the second shot near the crest, enabling a successful approach.

7 PAR 4 - HCP 5/6

Spieltipps vom Pro

This is a challenging hole where the drive should land just slightly left and ideally at the end of the fairway bunker. Only then does the green, with its two bunkers, come into clear view for the approach. Long hitters can take a shortcut past the bunkers on the right—provided the rough is cut short.

8 PAR 3 - HCP 13/14

Spieltipps vom Pro

A challenging par 3 requiring both distance and absolute precision. It’s safer to aim for the left half of the green to stay clear of the water.

9 PAR 4 - HCP 15/16

Spieltipps vom Pro

The tee shot should be directed toward the Maritim Hotel, passing just right of the left tree line. The difficulty of the approach lies in the fact that only the flag is visible for an accurate shot. A deep bunker on the left and a water hazard on the right are waiting to catch any mistakes.

Note on Stroke Index Allocation

The distribution of the individual handicap depends on the course combination. The odd HCP applies to the first 9 holes, the even HCP to the second 9 holes.

If there is an individual handicap of -15, then -8 is distributed over the first 9 holes according to the HCP figures, while the remaining -7 is then used for the second 9 holes in the same way.
