Youth brings its own rewards!
Founded in 1921, the Lübeck-Travemünde Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in Germany and is literally strong for a century – and far from being outdated. In total, we have over 250 young people and students as members who play regularly. This keeps us young!
2024 GVSH Gold Award:
Once again, we were able to secure the victory in the "Best Youth Work" category in the Golf Association of Schleswig-Holstein.
DGV Silver Award:
The LTGK is the only GVSH club that has consistently achieved the silver rank since the beginning of the quality management system.

The parent-child golfing has been very well received this year. The tasks set for the little ones, using colorful training equipment, are always interesting and varied. And small challenges where they compete against their parents or grandparents are, of course, special highlights. By the way, it’s often easy to see that even adults can show a competitive spirit.
In the next group (ages 6-12), our juniors are gradually being prepared for competitions. Here, both golf technique and athletic skills are equally important. For us, it is also very important to let the children play on the course as early as possible. We offer several opportunities for these age groups to experience tournament play according to their age and skill level. There are also the first team competitions, primarily designed to foster a great team spirit.
From the age of 13, the young golfers then decide whether they want to train with a performance-oriented focus, aiming to participate in association tournaments (individual and team), or if golf is more of a recreational sport for them without any ambitions. This is reflected in the frequency and intensity of their training. There’s so much more to mention, such as great events, interesting training sessions, fun training trips, exciting tournaments, etc., but that would exceed the scope of this message.
